What do you crave the most during chilly winter nights? I go first. I need a good cozy blanket, a hot cup of chocolate, and a good mystery novel. These things complement the weather and each other just so perfectly! Recently I read The night she disappeared by Lisa Jewell and it was one of the unputdownable books. The story follows the trail of a missing teenage mother Tallulah who went missing along with her boyfriend Zach. The story moves back and forth sharing events that led to the event and her mother’s arduous search for her. told from multiple points of view the author showcased the dark and grey natures of every character. The vividness with which she portrayed each and every character and the attention to the details of the scene and people without overloading with the information made it a perfect mystery novel. This book is almost 500 pages, such a gripping plot that I never felt like skipping pages. She portrayed the agony of a mother so beautifully that you can feel her pain rippling through the pages. this was my first Lisa Jewell book and I am all set to explore other books by the author. Beautifully written, and has strong characters, an adrenaline booster, I highly recommend reading this book.
